That’s about the only positive takeaways from the performance, he said. Garbrandt (7-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) wasn’t particularly impressed with his unanimous-decision victory over Henry Briones (16-5-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) on UFC 189’s preliminary card at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. “No Love” used his superior boxing skills to outpoint Briones over three rounds. He landed a knockdown in the fight and sprinkled in some key takedowns to get the nod on the judges’ scorecards and move to 7-0 as a pro. The victory wasn’t everything Garbrandt hoped or trained for, he said.
