ABU DHABI – At Thursday’s UFC 242 media day, the fighters from the majority of the card came together to face off for the first time during fight week. That included headliners Khabib Nurmagomedov (27-0 MMA, 11-0 UFC) and Dustin Poirier (25-5 MMA, 17-4 UFC), who fight to unify the UFC lightweight championship atop the card, which takes place at The Arena in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and ESPN+/UFC Fight Pass. Things were relatively tame across the board, with all the athletes showing respect for one another as they participated in staredowns in front of the media
