Filed under: News , Videos Former UFC fighter George Roop is facing a six-month recovery period after breaking his leg in a ROAD FC bout last weekend. Roop (15-13-1), fighting for the first time since the end of a 16-bout UFC-WEC run, snapped his leg early in the first round of his bout with featherweight Yoon Jun Lee (11-2) in Saturday’s Xiaomi ROAD FC 031 headliner. The event took place in Seoul, South Korea, where Roop is still recovering following a compound fracture to his tibia. “The break was clean and not fragmented,” officials stated in a press release. “Roop will undergo immediate surgery and recovery in Wonju.
