UFC senior executive Marc Ratner  was one of the most respected executive directors in the history of the Nevada Athletic Commission, whose influence reached far outside his own state, influencing the way commissions across the country operated. Although his influence was first felt in the boxing world, Ratner has been a key regulator in the world of mixed martial arts, as well. So much so that the UFC hired him to spearhead its efforts to get independent MMA regulation spread globally.
