Overnight, McCall (13-5-1 MMA, 2-3-1 UFC) found out that for the second straight fight, he was left without an opponent just days before getting in the octagon. McCall’s flyweight opponent at UFC 203 on Saturday, Ray Borg (9-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC), was forced out with an illness. In July, just two days before UFC 201, McCall lost opponent Justin Scoggins when Scoggins came in overweight and McCall didn’t agree to a catchweight bout – having had a bad experience with that in January 2015 when John Lineker came in at 130 pounds for their fight and McCall took the fight, anyway, but lost. Before UFC 203 fight week, McCall broke down his fight with Borg our partners at Champions.co – before he knew it was an exercise in futility. He also talked about the MMA debut this week of Phil “ CM Punk ” Brooks.
