At today’s UFC 182 weigh-ins , which took place at Marquee Ballroom at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, reigning light-heavyweight champion Jones (20-1 MMA, 14-1 UFC) and fellow pay-per-view headliner Cormier (15-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) successfully made weight – and then provided a bizarre photo opportunity. Rather than a fists-up, face-to-face pose, Jones instead turned to the crowd, and Cormier faced the back of the stage. Prior to the weigh-ins, which preceded Saturday’s event at MGM Grand Garden Arena, the Nevada State Athletic Commission warned the bitter rivals about potential fines for any indiscretions.
