Beltran (14-10 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) is now slated to fight fellow light heavyweight and UFC vet Vladimir Matyushenko (27-7 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) on the Spike TV-televised main card of Friday’s Bellator 116 event at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, Calif. It’s the final fight of Matyushenko’s lengthy and accomplished MMA career. Beltran was already weeks into his boxing training when Bellator called, and he soon shifted gears to an MMA camp. But he’s not giving up on his goal to try a second combat sport.
