UFC on ABC 3 this Saturday features a big women’s flyweight bout, with Miesha Tate making her divisional debut against Lauren Murphy on the main card. Since returning from retirement, Tate, 35, is 1-1 with a finish of Marion Reneau and a decision loss to Ketlen Vieira last November, which prompted her move down to 125 pounds. Considering Tate is a former UFC women’s bantamweight champion and Murphy is a recent flyweight title challenger, would Tate be worthy of a title shot against Valentina Shevchenko on the heels of just one win?
