UBERLANDIA, Brazil – UFC flyweight Ian McCall (13-4-1 MMA, 2-2-1 UFC) was taken to the hospital Friday night and diagnosed with a viral infection that will keep him from fighting John Lineker (24-7 MMA, 5-2 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 56 on Saturday. Due to the last-minute withdrawal, Lineker will not fight at the event, a source close to the fight confirmed to MMAjunkie. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about McCall’s condition.
