In a note reportedly written prior to a failed suicide attempt, MMA fighter War Machine addresses friends and family before eventually suggesting that “society has killed men” and the he “was never meant to live in this era anyway.” War Machine, aka Jon Koppenhaver (before a legal name change), tried to kill himself in his Las Vegas jail cell this past week following his arrest on multiple charges , including attempted murder, in August. War Machine, 32, allegedly assaulted his former girlfriend, porn actress Christy Mack, while in her home with boyfriend Corey Thomas. According to a report subsequently unsealed by the Clark County (Nev.) District Attorney’s Office, the assault left Mack with two missing teeth , a blowout orbital fracture, a lacerated liver, swelling and bruises. In the suicide note, obtained and published by TMZ, War Machine expressed regret that Mack was injured but never takes accountability
