LOS ANGELES – After a stumble out of the gate, 22-year-old Aaron Pico has been on a tear through the Bellator featherweight division. On Saturday at Bellator 214, Pico (4-1 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) faces Henry Corrales (16-3 MMA, 4-3 BMMA) in another test of his ceiling as a young competitor. But already, he’s courting questions about championships. More specifically, Pico is being asked about how he’d handle the type of spotlight that’s spoiled the careers of promising young athletes across all sports. For Pico, who co-headlines Saturday’s fight at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., the motivation for avoiding embarrassing gaffes is the reaction of his family.
