Rising light-heavyweight contender Ilir Latifi is making a fairly quick 48-day turnaround to return to the cage. Latifi (11-4 MMA, 4-2 UFC) is slated to fight Gian Villante (14-6 MMA, 4-3 UFC) at March’s UFC 196 event, UFC officials today announced. UFC 196 (formerly called UFC 197) takes place March 5 at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass, though the bout order hasn’t been finalized.
