Alexandre Almeida Entering the night as more than a 3-1 underdog to reigning WSOF featherweight champion Lance Palmer (10-2), Alexandre Almeida (17-6) used a quick start and surprisingly good striking to establish an insurmountable lead, holding off a late charge to take home a decision win and the belt. The bout served as the headlining bout of Friday’s WSOF 26 event, which took place at The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
