Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos LAS VEGAS – Yancy Medeiros picked up a big win Saturday at UFC 194, defeating John Makdessi by narrow decision in front of the crowd at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The win over Makdessi (13-5 MMA, 6-5 UFC), a preliminary-card bout that streamed on UFC Fight Pass, got the Hawaiian lightweight back on track after a first round TKO loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC Fight Night 68 in June. Medeiros (12-3 MMA, 3-3 UFC) trains in Hawaii, as well as with UFC vets Nick Diaz and Nate Diaz in California. It seems like an odd pairing. The affable Medeiros isn’t exactly the mean-mugging type, but he said it’s a fine marriage. “All you guys know, the Diaz brothers are real,” Medeiros told MMAjunkie following his win
