In what’s a well-documented situation by now, Shevchenko’s longtime head coach, Pavel Fedotov, was shot in the left side of his abdomen during an apparent armed robbery attempt in Lima, Peru , in the early weeks of training camp for the most significant fight of Shevchenko’s career. Shevchenko (12-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) said she never considered pulling out of the FOX-televised headliner against former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holm (10-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC), which airs on FOX following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass at United Center in Chicago
