The Spike TV-televised event took place at San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center. Of the five main-card bouts, four ended via knockout. The headliner, though, went the distance as Ortiz (18-11-1 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) picked up a split-decision win over fellow UFC Hall of Famer Bonnar (15-9 MMA, 0-1 BMMA). Additionally, Will Brooks (15-1 MMA, 7-1 BMMA) continued his move up the rankings and went from interim champ to undisputed lightweight titleholder with a victory over Michael Chandler (12-3 MMA, 9-3 BMMA)
