The main event of Bellator 247 has officially been canceled. English welterweight Paul Daley was reportedly taken ill after weighing in 2.6 pounds over the 171-pound non-title welterweight limit on Wednesday morning and, according to reports on the ground in Milan, was later taken to hospital before the ceremonial weigh-in event. Journalist and broadcaster Gareth A. Davies tweeted that the scheduled face-off between Daley and opponent Derek Anderson did not occur, then stated that the fight had been called off after Daley was taken to hospital on a stretcher
