With the Cage Warriors bantamweight championship currently in a vacant state, Cory Tait believes he’s earned the right to compete to be the next champion. Cage Warriors has yet to officially announce when the next 135-pound title fight will go down or who will participate, but Tait (8-2) is determined to get a place in the fight and is willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen. “I just want the whole MMA world to not forget about me,” Tait recently told MMAjunkie Radio. “I always feel like I don’t get that fair shake around here. I’m campaigning for that title shot, really.” The belt is vacant because former divisional kingpin Brett Johns  (10-0) failed to make weight for a title bout with James Brum at Cage Warriors 67 this past month. The organization stripped Johns of the belt, and while Brum could have taken it home with a win, Johns out-grappled him over five rounds to take the decision and to keep the belt ownerless.
