Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos Carla Esparza  was overlooked by many heading into the final of Season 20 of “The Ultimate Fighter.” Much of the attention had instead been focused on her opponent, Rose Namajunas. Esparza (10-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) won the fight easily, though, dominating before sinking in a rear-naked choke in the third round for the submission victory. The win made Esparza the UFC’s first ever women’s strawweight champion. One day later, Joanna Jedrzejczyk earned her second UFC win, decisioning Claudia Gadelha at UFC on FOX 13. Esparza told MMAjunkie that she didn’t find out until the next day that Jedrzejczyk would be her next opponent.
