Brennan Ward Former middleweight title challenger Brennan Ward could soon get a second shot at winning a Bellator title, this time in his new weight class. Ward (12-3 MMA, 8-3 BMMA), who fell short against then-champ Alexander Shlemenko in their 2014 middleweight title fight, recently moved to 3-0 at welterweight. In this past Friday’s Spike-televised Bellator 144 co-headliner, Ward made easy work of Dennis Olson (14-10 MMA, 0-4 BMMA) and scored a first-round TKO victory : Since moving from middleweight to welterweight, the 27-year-old is 3-0 with three first first-round stoppages
