LINCOLN, Neb. – Veteran welterweight Jake Ellenberger struggled to process the thoughts and emotions running through his head after UFC Fight Night 135. Ellenberger (31-15 MMA, 10-11 UFC) couldn’t quite explain what prompted him to announce his retirement after a first-round TKO loss to Brian Barbarena (14-5 MMA, 5-3 UFC). Other than the obvious answer of another heartache inside the octagon, he was at a loss.
