After months of delay due to visa issues, Augusto (7-2 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) made his first walk to the Bellator cage Friday and beat former UFC fighter Jonathan Wilson by first-round submission. “I am super happy and grateful for this opportunity, for my family, my friends and my fans for their support,” Augusto told MMA Junkie at a post-fight news conference. “I’m excited to see what’s next.” The bout was Augusto’s debut at light heavyweight after he previously spent the entirety of his career fighting at heavyweight
