However, if you think the impending free agency put any added pressure on the welterweight, think twice. After demolishing Neil Magny (18-5 MMA, 11-4 UFC) to take home a first-round TKO  win, Larkin (18-5 MMA, 5-5 UFC) said that, coming in on short-notice, he didn’t even have time to mull over it too much. “I’m not saying this just because I won,” Larkin said. “Going into the fight, I had no pressure on me. It was a last-minute fight, I was halfway in shape, and I just had to have a little mock camp to get myself fully prepared. I felt he had more pressured on him than I did.
