A controversial ending in the Bellator 226 main event nearly led to an unscheduled fight on air. Moments after a no-contest was declared in a heavyweight title bout between two-division champ Ryan Bader and Chieck Kongo, Bellator officials and San Jose police rushed to separate Bader and Kongo teammate Quinton Jackson . Bader had just completed a post-fight interview where he expressed regret for an accidental eye poke that rendered Kongo unable to continue the title fight. He was on his way out of the cage when he ran into “Rampage” Jackson, who’d entered as officials milled about. Jackson and Bader started jawing at each other, and Bader could be heard yelling, “Get the (expletive) in here.
