While Cage Warriors’ “Trilogy Strikes Back” series in London may have featured four title fights, one man who enhanced his growing reputation outside of those title matchups was Irish welterweight Ian Garry , whose first-round finish of Lawrence Tracey at Cage Warriors 119 extended his undefeated record and moved him closer to a shot at the vacant welterweight title. Garry (5-0), whose fighting moniker is “The Future,” has fought all of his pro bouts under the Cage Warriors banner, and has finished each of his last four opponents. A protege of former Cage Warriors champions Chris Fields and Cathal Pendred, and training partner of another former Cage Warriors champ, James Webb, Garry has been hotly tipped to become the next star to emerge from the Emerald Isle and, in his post-fight interview after his victory over Tracey, Garry laid out exactly what he expects from the next chapter of his career as he gets ready to make an even bigger impact in 2021.
