If you’re the type of MMA fan who loves to root for underdogs, a $100 bet at tonight’s UFC 170 event could net you a hefty $20,000 payoff. It’s a long shot (hence the ridiculous 200-1 odds), but if you place a $100 parlay on the underdogs in the pay-per-view event’s top three fights – and they actually win – you’ll be $20,000 (or, roughly, a 2014 Volkswagen Golf) richer. Tonight’s event takes place at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center, but as MMAjunkie reporters John Morgan and Matt Erickson explain in the above UFC 170 preview, the top of the PPV bill features a trio of mismatches, at least according to the oddsmakers. To claim your 20 Gs, you’d need Sara McMann  (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) to upset fellow Olympic medalist and reigning UFC’s women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey  (8-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) in the headliner, promotional newcomer and massive underdog Patrick Cummins  (4-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) would have to upset Daniel Cormier  (13-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) in the light-heavyweight co-headliner, and Demian Maia  (18-5 MMA, 12-5 UFC) would have to get by fellow welterweight Rory MacDonald  (15-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) in their main-card bout. What are the odds of that happening? Obviously not good.
