An opponent switch a little more than a week out from fight night completely changed the course of Ovince Saint Preux ’s (17-6 MMA, 5-1 UFC) career on Saturday as he knocked out former UFC champion  Mauricio Rua (22-10 MMA, 6-8 UFC) for the biggest victory of his life in the UFC Fight Night 55 headliner. “OSP” was originally scheduled to compete against Francimar Barosso in the co-main event, but an injury to Jimi Manuwa created an opening atop the card and the 31-year-old refused to let it pass him by. Saint Preux landed a perfect punch early in the first round and stopped Rua just 34 seconds to silence the crowd at Ginasio Municipal Tancredo Neves in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais, Brazil. To see what fighters, media members and more in the MMA community thought about the biggest victory of Saint Preux’s career, check out the Twitter reactions below.
