UFC 177’s main event switch put all the pressure on T.J. Dillashaw . And while he got a competitive fight from Joe Soto , he was successful in his first bantamweight title defense in the pay-per-view headliner from Sacramento’s Sleep Train Arena. Dillashaw (11-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) overwhelmed Soto (15-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) with a relentless offensive output before he finally stopped the last-minute replacement with a head kick in the fifth round. In the process, he sent his hometown crowd home happy.
