NEWARK, N.J. – Danny Martinez (16-5 MMA, 0-1 UFC) was no pushover, but veteran Chris Cariaso (16-5 MMA, 6-3 UFC) proved too much for UFC 169′s debuting flyweight. Their bout, which was part of the FOX Sports 1-televised preliminary card from Newark, N.J.’s Prudential Center, saw Martinez pull out to an early lead but fade as Cariaso fended off takedowns and mixed in crisp strikes.
