DALLAS – Despite longtime champion Georges St-Pierre’s recent departure, the UFC’s welterweight division is in fine shape, thanks in large part to Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler ‘s fight for the vacant belt. The hard-hitting vets put on an epic headliner at Saturday’s UFC 171 pay-per-view event, which took place at Dallas’ American Airlines Center. In the end, Hendricks (16-2 MMA, 11-2 UFC) edged the ridiculously durable Lawler (22-10 MMA, 7-4 UFC) via unanimous decision to win the belt.
