SACRAMENTO – Just as he said he would, Carlos Diego Ferreira (11-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) knocked out Ramsey Nijem (9-5 MMA, 5-4 UFC) with a well-timed right hand counter, taking full advantage of his opponent’s reckless offense and bringing a halt to the bout at 1:53 of the second round. The lightweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC 177 card at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento. It aired pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1.
