UFC 179 drug tests come back clean

Chad Mendes and Jose Aldo The Comissao Atletica Brasileira de MMA (CABMMA) today announced that drug tests for UFC 179 came back clean. In a prepared statement obtained by MMAjunkie, CABMMA said all competitors were tested for performance-enhancers and drugs of abuse. Additionally, the event’s main and co-main event bouts – featherweight champ Jose Aldo vs. Chad Mendes and Phil Davis vs. Glover Teixeira, respectively – were tested for human growth-hormone and erythropoietin (EPO).
