The UFC and FOX Sports highlights captured five big fights at UFC 188, which took place June 13 at Mexico City Arena in Mexico City. In the main event, interim heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum (20-5-1 MMA, 8-2 UFC) defeated champion Cain Velasquez (13-2 MMA, 11-2 UFC) to unify the belts and make his case as the greatest big man in the history of the sport. In the evening’s co-main event, Eddie Alvarez (26-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) edged out a split decision over lightweight rival Gilbert Melendez (22-5 MMA, 1-3 UFC).
