Cathal Pendred MEXICO CITY – There was no gift for Cathal Pendred when he took home a unanimous decision over Augusto Montano . Unlike his previous fight, a baffling unanimous call over Sean Spencer in Boston, Pendred (17-2-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) earned two of three rounds over Montano (15-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC). The problem? Pendred did just more than next to nothing, which is what his opponent gave over three rounds. The welterweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC 188 event at Mexico City Arena in Mexico City.
