James Vick LAS VEGAS – When James Vick was allowed to choose the range at which the fight was contested, he battered Glaico Franca with his lanky combinations and sharp striking. Unfortunately for Franca (13-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC), that was the majority of the fight, as Vick (9-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) rode to a unanimous decision victory after three rounds with scores of 29-28, 29-28, and 30-27. The lightweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC 197 event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of a main card on pay-per-view.
