HALIFAX – Pedro Munhoz sent a quick message to the UFC’s bantamweight division on Saturday night. Munhoz (12-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) took out Jerrod Sanders (14-3 MMA, 0-2 UFC) with a guillotine choke just 39 seconds into the first round. The bantamweight bout opened up the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 54 event at Halifax Metro Centre in Nova Scotia, Canada. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass ahead of additional prelims on FOX Sports 2 and a main card on FOX Sports 1. The two fighters traded kicks early, and then Sanders shot in on Munhoz hoping to take the fight to the ground.
