UBERLANDIA, Brazil – Ovince Saint Preux , Leandro Silva , Thomas Almeida and Tim Gorman each earned $50,000 bonuses for their performances at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 56 event. Saint Preux and Silva won “Performance of the Night” bonuses, while Almeida and Gorman earned “Fight of the Night” honors. UFC officials announced the winners at the post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie attended. Saint Preux (17-6 MMA, 5-1 UFC) absolutely destroyed Mauricio Rua (22-10 MMA, 6-8 UFC) with a first-round TKO that took just 34 seconds. Saint Preux caught “Shogun” with a left hand that took him right off his feet.
