Neil Magny SASKATOON – Less than a month after having his seven-fight winning streak snapped by Demian Maia , Neil Magny jumped right back in the cage and got back in the win column against Erick Silva. Using his range to pepper Silva (18-6 MMA, 6-5 UFC) from the outside, and his cardio to wear the Brazilian down, Magny (16-4 MMA, 9-3 UFC) rode to a split-decision victory (29-28, 28-29, 30-27) after three strong rounds in a short-notice effort. The welterweight bout co-headlined today’s UFC Fight Night 74 event at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. Though this one had a happy ending for Magny, there were a few moments early on where it looked like deja vu all over again for the fighter who’d just had his bubble burst by a superior ground fighter in Maia
