Patrick Cote SASKATOON – UFC commentator and crowd favorite Patrick Cote brought down the house when he brought down a tough Josh Burkman in the final round of their meeting. Cote (22-9 MMA, 9-9 UFC) dropped Burkman (27-12 MMA, 5-7 UFC) with a vicious overhand right to pick up his first UFC knockout in seven years and again deny “The Ultimate Fighter 2” vet an octagon win. The welterweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 74 event at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. Cote won by TKO at the 1:26 mark of the third after referee Jarin Valel intervened as Burkman took several hammerfists to the head and was unable to recover.
