Leandro Silva MONTERREY, Mexico – Efrain Escudero made important adjustments in Round 2 of his UFC Fight Night 78 bout with Leandro Silva , but Silva made the bigger adjustments in the final round to earn the unanimous decision victory. The lightweight bout opened up the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 78 event at Monterrey Arena in Monterrey, Mexico. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. Round 1 opened with Escudero (24-10 MMA, 5-6 UFC) cautiously pushing forward and trying to limit Siva’s space to get off his big strikes. Silva (19-2-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) landed a solid kick to the body and a lunging left hand but was still having trouble getting back to the center of the cage in the face of Escudero’s forward pressure
