The festivities took place at The Arena at TD Place in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The same venue hosts Saturday’s card, which airs on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 2 and UFC Fight Pass. Headliners Rory MacDonald (18-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC) and Stephen Thompson (12-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) each weighed 170.5 pounds. In the co-feature, recent lightweight title challenger Donald Cerrone (29-7 MMA, 16-4 UFC), who weighed 171, continues his new run at welterweight against Canada’s Patrick Cote (23-9 MMA, 10-9 UFC), who was 170. Preliminary-card fighter Randa Markos (5-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) came in heavy at 117.5 pounds and must surrender 20 percent of her purse to oppenent Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger (6-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC), who weighed 117.5
