Prior to Saturday, the Ultimate Fighting Championship hadn’t run an event in Ireland for more than five years. In the case of Irish fight fans, absence certainly did make the heart grow fonder. UFC Fight Night 46: McGregor vs. Brandão took place on Saturday at the O2 in Dublin and it certainly delivered both in the Octagon and out of it. According to UFC president Dana White, the event drew an audience of 9,500 fans, producing a live gate of $1.4 million U.S.
