Tate (14-5 MMA, 1-2 UFC) picked up a unanimous decision win over Liz Carmouche (9-5 MMA, 1-3 UFC) in Saturday’s co-main event, getting a trio of 29-28 scores after a first round controlled by Carmouche. But Tate started to get things under control in the second, and in the third, she was dominant, coming close to finishing the resilient Carmouche with a rear-naked choke as the seconds ticked down.
