UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Another Nurmagomedov made his way into major-league MMA Friday. Usman Nurmagomedov (12-0 MMA, 1-0 BMMA), a cousin of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib, took care of Mike Hamel (7-5 MMA, 0-2 BMMA) with a unanimous decision in their lightweight fight on the Bellator 255 main card. And though Hamel was gritty enough to steal a round from Nurmagomedov from a pair of judges, ultimately the Russian was too much in his first fight in the U.S. It was just the second time Nurmagomedov went the distance in a pro career spanning four years.
