Good news for Valerie Letourneau , whose badly damaged right eye has improved from “the craziest thing I’ve ever seen” to simply bruised and a bit swollen. Letourneau (8-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC) suffered a unanimous-decision loss to reigning strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk (11-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) in this past Saturday’s UFC 193 pay-per-view co-headliner. Heavy underdog Letourneau started strong but faded after the first round, and her face was badly bruised and swollen by the end of the title fight.
