Two of MMA’s most flashy strikers unexpectedly squared off inside the PFL cage Friday in Dublin, though it seems one of them is still not under a major promotion contract. French kickboxing star Cedric Doumbe , who is under contract with PFL, was brought into the cage for an interview by the promotion’s play-by-play man Sean O’Connell. When asked about his next fight, Doumbe name-dropped Michael Page , who was in attendance cageside as a VIP. “MVP” then entered the cage for a friendly, smile-filled faceoff with Doumbe as the PFL broadcast deemed the potential matchup a “fight in the making.” The optics caused some viewers confusion as to Page’s contractual status.
