But that wasn’t really the case for Kevin Lee . Instead, Lee says he always planned to get into MMA, and he wound up using a wrestling program in high school as his bridge to his current place in MMA. “I started wrestling with the intent of going into MMA,” Lee told MMAjunkie. I had been interested in it since I was 14 years old – there just were no MMA gyms around my house or anything like that. The closest thing I could get was wrestling.
