Thomas Almeida MONTREAL – In a performance that resembled the best of his highlight reel ,  Thomas Almeida battered  Yves Jabouin before putting him away in the first round. Referee Yves Lavigne was forced to halt the bout i the first round when Jabouin (20-10 MMA, 5-4 UFC) was unable to defend himself as Almeida (18-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) unleashed a flurry of punches to the body and head. The bantamweight bout opened up the main card of today’s UFC 186 event at Bell Centre in Montreal. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. Almeida, a product of the famed Chute Boxe Academy in Curitiba, Brazil, earned a TKO at the 4:18 mark of the first round after stunning Jabouin with a hard left hand
